Jordan and I arrived back in Denver last night around dinner time, after driving all day with a family of friends.
Unplugged, wearing fancy pants, and free.
We are on day 4 post- chemo, which means day 4 of waiting for her immune system to recover from being wiped out. Chloe is feeling better and better by the day.
The above title is a Chinese proverb, undoubtedly about hope. For me, it is also about carrying what is true for me in my heart.
Chloe and I had a great day. We are spending all of our waking hours together, and neither of us (rarely) has another agenda except to be with one another.

Our minds and hearts are uploading not only the reality of Chloe’s diagnosis, but also we are having to learn and integrate a mountain of detailed information about her care.
Yesterday afternoon the doctors were supposed to tell us the final results of Chloe’s spinal tap. I realized by evening that they never came in to tell us.

Yesterday we found out that she has Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia.
